A path for rainfall.
Permeable paving lets water pass through aggregate-filled joints into a stone base below. On suitable sites, it can reduce runoff while creating a finished patio, path or driveway.

Soil, slope, drainage routes and intended use guide the approach. Some properties need an underdrain or controlled outlet; a permeable system still needs a complete drainage plan.
Details that keep it working.
Base preparation, edge restraints and finished grades deserve as much attention as the pavers. Keeping joints clear of sediment helps preserve water flow over time.
